Book Orders

This week we will be sending home Scholastic book order forms. This is a great way to get reading material for your child while also adding books to the classroom. When parents order online the classroom gets to choose a free book. The link is:

Welcome!

 I hope everyone is having a great summer. It seems to be flying by. In a few short weeks it will be time to start our school year. I hope to see everyone at Open House, Thursday, August 23 from 1-6pm. This is a great time to bring in supplies and see the classroom. Please remember that all supplies are community supplies so there is no need to label them. If you are having any problem with the supply list please let me know. New Field Trip - Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park

On Thursday, April 26, we will be traveling to Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park near Scotland Neck. Please be sure to send a bagged lunch, to wear comfortable shoes, and/or to leave a booster seat if you are not driving.

Volunteers Needed for Kids Fest

We still need volunteers to help our classroom on Friday, April 20, for Kids Fest. There is a sign-up sheet posted on our door to the classroom. We also need a few more volunteers to help us make cookies. Our country is Italy and we are making ricotta cheese cookies. If you can help please let us know.

Kids Fest

Kids Fest in on Friday, April 20, 2012. We need parent volunteers to serve dessert and stamp passports. We are asking parents to sign up in 20 minute shifts. That way you can see everything and still help our room. The sign-up sheet will be posted in the classroom tomorrow.

School Pictures

Spring Pictures are scheduled for March 21. These photos are optional and can be made with any outfit you'd like. Usually children come to school with a special spring outfit on, have the picture made, and then change into uniform clothes afterwards. The 6-9 level usually goes after the 3-6 level. With this in mind, we are in need of a parent volunteer to assist with outfit changes and/or general assistance for the teachers that morning. If you have time, please email me or let our teachers know that you will be willing to assist with Spring Pictures.

Share Day

Wanted to let everyone know that we will be having "share" on Friday, February 24, 2012. We will have share when we return from the play.
